Avoid eviction notice and stop house repossession

eviction notice door with repossession noticeWhen you are in a situation where you need to stop house repossession because you have received an eviction notice Quick Purchase are here to help.

An eviction notice, which is a notice from the court, is the last thing any one wants, but this is the final notification that you will receive before you loose your property.

Reasons for suspended eviction notices

If you have any of the following, the court may halt or suspend the eviction notice/repossession of your property:

• A letter from your estate agent or solicitor confirming that you have received an offer from a purchaser. The offer will have to be enough to clear the whole debt on the property including any arrears and possibly costs that have been incurred.

• If you have been able to get a mortgage offer, on a re mortgage, to clear the whole debt, but have not been able to complete the process in time

• You can apply for an extension with a court N244 form which you will need to fill out and submit to the court. This is chargeable and is approx £35. This will generally give you a further 2-4 weeks in order to secure a sale/exchange of contracts.

• If you are in a situation where you have a fair amount of equity and are in the process of trying to sell your property which is getting a high level of interest. You can ask your estate agent to provide you with a letter stating this and also a record of the level of viewings, if you can get one this will help.

If you have an eviction notice on your property, the worst possible outcome is if the eviction was carried out especially if you have a fair amount of equity in the property. You have worked hard to achieve this level of equity and to get your home to its present condition.

If there is an option where you are able to stop house repossession happening and your eviction notice being enforced, then we are sure that you would consider this.

The last thing you want is for your property to go to auction and achieve no where near what you could sell the property for and also incur all the associated fees.
