CCJ County Court Judgment struggling with payments
What to do if you cannot pay the amount set by the County Court Judgment (CCJ)?
If you find yourself in a position where you are unable to repay part or repay all of the payments set by the court, you need to go to your County Court and get either an N244 or an N245 application form.
There are fees associated with both forms.
N244 (Application notice) – this is the form you need to obtain if you cannot repay all of the payments, and you will also have to provide a budget plan of all your outgoings and income. The fee you have to pay when submitting this form is around £60.
N245 (Application to vary an order) – this is the form you need to obtain if you cannot repay part of the payment. The fee you have to pay when submitting this form is around £30.
Both of the applications, after you have submitted them to the County Court, may require you to attend a court hearing. Make sure you attend the hearing with all your relevant paper work.
